Are Tesla power walls worth it?

Cost at around $10,000 installed for 13.5 kilowatt hours (kWh) of usable storage. This is a relatively good value given the high cost of solar energy storage. It’s still not an amazing return on investment, but better than its peers.

The Tesla Powerwall 2 is an AC Coupled battery. That means it simply connects into your solar system via the 230VAC in your switchboard. It does not connect into your solar panels or inverter, so it will work with any existing grid connected solar system.
